Help connecting temp sensors?

I just bought this temp/fan unit but have no idea what to do with the little 1 pin sensor wires. The instuctions are not clear.

Can someone please help me figure his out?

Areogate II is made by Coolermaster, I have never heard of coolermax!

I am trying to figure out how to attach the sensor wires to my components. I want to monitor the temp of my graphics card, CPU, PSU and RAM. Is this possible?

I need a detialed description of how to attach these little one pin wires to both my Aerogate II and my computer parts.

The sensors were meant for checking air temperatures. Like placeing one near the intake fand and one next to the exhaust fan. You could use Arctic Silver thermal EPOXY to PERMANETLY Bond the probe to the SIDE of the CPU Heatsink near the base or bottom of the heat sink. As for the video card It would all depend on the model of Video card and what kind of heat sink it has. Ram usualy runs a few ° Degrees ° above room temp and does not really require cooling. If you want to measure the PSU temperature just place the Probe near the exhaust of the PSU for a general Idea of how hot things are.

Personaly I would not worry about it. Just make sure the case temperature stays below 110° F.

Warning this is EPOXY and will permantly bond anything toghether so do try to use it as a replacement for Thermal grease between the cpu and heatsink.

i have the exact same part.

On the back of the aerogate, you will see a set of 8 pins, to them, you need to connect the black wires also known as the temperature probes. notice on the PCB, it will tell you what channel each of the temperature probes will be connected to.
CH 1 = CPU, CH 2 = VGA, CH 3 = Harddrive, and CH4 = Case

connect the temperature probes (insert the connectors to the pins vertically), and make sure you label the wires so you remember what each one is for.

for hard drive, tape the temperature probe to the top.
for cpu, tape the temperature probe to the heatsink
for video card ,tape to the heatsink as well
for the case, tape it to somewhere in the case where you believe will get the best reading

I have a eVGA Geforce 6800GT. Where on the heatsink is the best place to put the temp sensor.

I plan to connect my 120mm intake fan, a 120mm exhaust fan and my CPU fan to the Aerogate II. The instructions state to attach the sensors in its sequence order to prevent mistakes.

Does it matter if I have all 3 fans plugged in but my temp probes on differnt components such as my hard drive, VGA card, cpu? Or does it all have to be in order like this CPU fan and temp probe on cpu heat sink?

i think the alarm will sound if you put say the hard drive prob on the VGA, because the alarm tells you if the hard drive is too hot, and if you have the probe on the VGA (which is usually pretty hot) then you may get an alarm. Otherwise mixing is not really a problem, you just need to remember when you press the "case" button or something, you may not be getting the case temperature, if you have it hooked up elsewhere

Do you have any fans with 3 pin power connectors? That's a start.

If you read you would know that he is not trying to monitor RPM's, since that is not what he is asking about; he has TEMPERATURE Sensors that he wants to connect to various parts of his computer.
