I have a K7T that I think I may have a problem with the DDR ram setup. I have pc266 DDR ram from Transcend installed and I get half to the fisrt reboot and start of GUI install in W2K pro and I get a checksum blue screen of death. The Checksum hints to me a problem with the ram. But it's new and I am too. I have a duron 600 chip in it now. The Athlon XP 1700+ came DOA. I can get through post and all but I'm also not sure the mobo supports 600. It starts at 800 i think.
Any hints? I am a bit confused about setting up beyond its defaults. And post loads so fast, I'm not sure the CPU is detected properly. It also did not format a new hardrive properly either, so I removed it ,thinking HDD problems, but I just formated it and installed WINME on it from another box. (I use removable hardrives alot. Makes it easy to swap around.)
Anyone with this mobo please give me a clue?
