Help - computer won't start!

Just upgraded to a new mouse and keyboard and somehow my computer, upon restart, will not boot, even to the post, or at least I cannot see what it is doing as the monitor is showing only the power save mode. I have Award bios and am hearing only 2 tones repeating over and over like a siren every other time I try to boot. The fans and hard drive seem functional as they are running. I have tried a new monitor and a new video card with the same results. I have an asus k7v but the manual is thin and I find no help on the asus web site. Can anyone tell me what is going on here?

hi,
i have to ask, did you plug the mouse and keyboard into the right holes? (sorry, but i've done it myself before)
page 47 of your manual gives the beep codes for this motherboard.
a good thing to do is to reseat your memory, cards and cpu. this is a slot a cpu so you can reseat it without taking off the heatsink/fan. then try again. if you havent changed anything tan most likely things are not misconfigured.
did you try going back to the old keyboard and mouse?
good luck
