Hey guys, These are the components I recently purchased

AMD 1.2 Tbird
Abit KT7A
Quantum 40 gig ATA 100
Elsa Gladiac Geforce GTS
256 Crucial Ram
Coolermaster 6h11
SB X-Gamer
InWin 300 watt case

When i Finally connect all the cables, wires etc. I press power only fans turn, all the light on the case are on, also HD light is on. I dont hear the HD spin or any beeps and monitor has no power. I checked all wires, took out cards and inserted back in, took out cpu made sure it was in right. Still had same problem, so i tried connecting ony video card and ram, still nothing. I thought the motherboard was damaged so i returned it for a MSI K7T Turbo-R. Brought it back home connected everything, pushed power still same problem. The MSI has a Diagnostic LED, I got 4 red lights on it and i checked the manual it says The processor might be damaged or not installed properly. I dont know why it would be damgaged since i just purchased it. Anybody know what else could be the problem??? I dont think it could be the cpu, but then i dont know what else could be the problem. Am i missing anything?? please help :(

Do you either have another CPU you can test, or someone nearby with a mobo that can test your CPU? A local shop perhaps?

I agree. Your motherboard is probably not lieing. It IS possible to have a new bad CPU. The first thing to do is check the cpu any way possible which means try another socket A chip by borrowing one or bring it into a shop to test and that should not take long to do. Most shops are pretty good about backing their product. If you got it on-line bring the chip to a local shop any way and ask them for a quick favor. Otherwise you will have to check the return policy of the online company. I know what you are going through though. I had a bad ABIT KA7 and had to send it back to them for service. I have been without it for over 2 weeks!! AAAHHHHH!!! Good Luck though! If you get a new one in a shop have them test it in front of you before you leave!!!
