After I power on the computer I see the Voodoo3 Bios then the next screen says:

Award BootBlock Bios v1.0
Copyright (C) 1998, Award Software, Inc.

BIOS ROM checksum error

Detecting floppy drive A media...
Drive A error. System Halt

(while at this screen there is a constant BEEP that goes on forever)

SYSTEM SPECS:

AMD THUNDERBIRD 850 on MSI KT7 pro 2a
128mb Kingston pc133 cas3
Maxtor 30gb ata/100
sony 48x
D link 528 nic card
voodoo3 3000 pci
sb live gamer

any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

EDIT: I have also tried disconnecting the floppy drive but I got the same thing. Also I took out the cmos jumper and the battery to clear the cmos settings.

Looks like a BIOS flash gone bad or something...there is a way to put the BIN image of a new BIOS on a floppy (which it seems to be looking for) and it will flash itself.

Edit: Or maybe it's set to boot off the ROM on the NIC?

the thing is I cant get to the bios... After I get to that screen all i hear is a beeping noise and I am stuck at that screen.

Edit: Also tried pulling out all the peripherals, Voodoo3, nic card, sound card, hard drive, cd rom, and the floppy but I still get the same thing.

Exactly what kind of beep is it? There is a message being told in that beep code. Is it just one long/constant beep or like long-short-short or what? That BIOS ROM checksum error reeks of a BIOS gone bad.

Well, this board has some major problems. At least, some of them.
I RMAed my board. If you could try something, but don't break anything.
Get the RMA form from their site, and fax it, they will call you. I got the call from them in 30 minutes. Ask for replacement, since it's their fault. Well, if you can't get a replacement from the reseller.

Kendog are you overclocking?

I just had one of my friends call about a week ago with the same problem. It turned out to be one of the L1 bridges lost a connection I got out the conductive pen and redone the bridges and works great again

I'm having the problem Kendogg is having. For a description, all you need to do is read his first post :D . I've asked Jack at badflash.com to be on standby for an order, because if I can solve this tonight, I won't need to order a new one. WTF is up?
