My computer would just restart under heavy graphic situations such as gaming! I have no idea where the problem is. Some examples are running 3dmark 2001 SE or WCIII. THX!

Could be a heat problem... or a power supply problem...
or if it's overclocked you may have gone a bit too far.

First, turn off auto reboot when the computer crashes. I think you change in the My Computer properties and Startup and Recovery options. Untick the auto reboot when crash, then you can atleast read the BSOD and figure out the error.

I had this happen to me before, but it usually was the nvidia infinite loop thingy.

This was my OC from 1.0 TB to 1333 so its 33% overclocking. But the heat is low. 45 at its fullest and system never over 22. So I dunno. However, the power supply claims to be 420 watts. The 12v and 5v value are pretty constant but the VCORE jumps around from 1.84 to 1.83. then 1.85.

video card overheating?
that causes either lockups or restarts too sometimes

also does it BSOD even?
(blue screen of death)

if it doesnt then theres no point in turning off the auto restart optoin

control panel, system, advanced, start up, recovery, uncheck auto restart.
I would suggest giving all your system specs. Board, memory, vid card. Since your oc I say run stock speeds and see what happens.

my Radeon 9700Pro did that with a driverset that didn't work quite well with my stuff.

Here is my system spec:
-Abit kt7a 133 v~1.3
-Athlon Thunderbird 1000 @ 1333.4 (266 ddr)
-i/o Magic Sound Card
-Leadtek MX440 Geforce 4 64meg
-Sony 48-24-48 CD-R
-Compaq 32x CD-ROM
-400 PNY Memory SDRAM(CL3 was at CL2 when running the games still at Turbo)
-420 PSU

Some possibility I thought to myself but I dunno that may cause the problem.
-The Detonator 4.13 Driver
-The CL2 and CL3 RAM speed
-The RAM timings 8/10n --> normal --> fast ---> turbo
-PSU SUX
-The overclocking well this had happen before I even overclocked
-THE graphic card itself
-Some of the game itself and incompability

ALSO is there any software that can monitor my GPU (MMX440) Temp? Clock? and RAM? or just temp most importantly

THis is the message I managed to finally see when I get the BSOD

IRQL_not_less_equal

Or something relatively close to that any ideas?

Hi everyone,
I have the same problem also... ( i think )
So far, the only times when it occurs is when I am playing with FIFA or working with Lightwave 3D.
It's really bugging me.

Here's my specs...........
AMD XP+1800
Gigabyte GA-7VRXP
MSI GeForce4 Ti4200
512 DDR PC2100 RAM

I did not overclock or anything. Any help will be appreaciated, very much. I hope to get more information about this.
BTW, i will try all of the recommendation also. Thx in advance.

P.S. One thing i notice is that, i could nudge my CPU cooling fan and move it slightly. Is it suppose to be very tight?
