Woke up this morning and my computer had the blue screen up - I hit the reset button then it booted then blue screen again. I powered the system down, and powered it back up, but now it doesn't boot up at all. The monitor never comes up, it stays on the power-safe mode (orange light blinking) but you can heard the computer boot up .. any help is really appreciated ... thanks in advnace

unplug everything, including the power, switch off the I | O switch on the P/S, then replug all back in, and see what happens. Could be anything at this point, you'll have to narrow it down. Maybe even reseating the video card too. Does the blue screen appear on boot up? What OS do you run? What are your components?

I've tried unplugging everything, HD, CD-ROM, CDRW, video card. Just replugged the video card back and still, the monitor does not come up, meaning I don't even see it boot up ...

Probably motherboard if you hear no beeps and no screen. Take out the memory and turn it on, see if it beeps. If not, then there is a big chance that your motherboard is bad, and a very little chance your CPU is dead.

Put the memory back in, remove the video card, then boot it up, and see if you hear beeps. If not, its either your motherboard or CPU. More likely the board than CPU.

Unplug the power cord and reset the CMOS. (jumper is right next to the battery) If that doesn't work try booting with just 1 stick of ram in slot 0 then slot 1. If none of that works you could check this FORUM for a solution.

Good Luck

So it was on or it wasn't while you were sleeping? 😕
