Help, computer is not starting!

When I start my computer, it starts for about 5 seconds, then just turns off, then starts again then off again and so on. No beeps or sounds, it just does that over and over again.

I have a separate HDD for boot up. Does it sound like a failure of the power supply, HDD or even the MB?

Yes, no, maybe
 
It could just be the operating system. If the Hard Drive fails you may get some kind of a message like no oper syst found.

In a case like this you might have to try removing the hard drive or just unplugging it.
