The Video card is causing the short. If I leave it slightly unseated, it seems to work but the moment, it is porperly seated, the motherboard shorts out. I am starting to get irritated iwth this thing since I want to get this sytem up and running. Any ideas? 🙁 BTW the card is 9800 pro

i am willing to guess yuo got that 9800 aiw pro at compusa...

anyways I got the 9800 aiw pro a few days ago and had to return it. Older motherboards will not work with it. You might want to call ATI and Shuttle to see if there are any incompatibilty issues with your mobo and vid card

Right on the money, its a 9800 AIW and let me see if shuttle has any incompatibility issues with it.

One more thing, when it did not work with your mobo, what exactly happened? Did it not start up, did it start up and then immediately shut down, did it make a beeping noise.....?
