Asus a7v 1.02 (kt133, dip switches, internal temp sensor, no sound)
duron 600 @ 600
128mb micron pc133 ram
ati xpert 2000 pro (ati rage 128 pro 32mb)
300w PS
atx case (a7v barely has room...)
maxtor 20gb 7200
vibra 128
rockwell 56k winmodem
floppy
ps/2 mouse/keyboard...

it wont power up. i am not talking about bios post, i mean it wont react to the atx power button! it wont turn the fan in the PS on! i checked the connection of the button, the led on a7v is on so there is power, the power supply is ok since it worked on my p3 733, i tryed removing all cards (even video) but nothing. i think even if there is no ram and cpu it still has to turn on and beep.
please help!

Make sure your mobo is not grounding to the case

Make sure the CPU and the RAM is also properly seated.

what else can do this?
checking the grounding thing.
cpu and ram are 100% ok.

what should i use between mobo and case?

Well double check that the ATX power connector is fully in. One side may be in which provides the standby power which lights that LED, but the other side may not be all the way in so the wires that connect the power on signal may not be connected right.

well the power supply itself is good, since i sayed it will work on my own machine, and i think the atx connector is ok since it "clickes in" right.
i am begining to think of a grounding problem, or any other short on the mobo.
