i plan on buying a set of cheap speakers, mainly for music and some gaming, 50$ or so...whats a better buy ? altec atp3/logitech z340/z540/creative inspire ?
i need help i really cant decide..
thanks.

at pricegrabber the z640s are cheaper after shipping than z540s [07960]
but logitechs are better than the creative inspire series ?
im more attracted by their [logitechs] bright blue LEDs..!
where can i get them cheapest?
thanks!

Im in the same boat as you memories2002, but Im looking for 5.1 speakers. And ppl hv been recommending me Logitech Z-640 over Creative Inspire 5200 and Altec Lansing. I dont know why.
I guess Im going for Logitech Z-640.

Expensive speakers = better sound unless you don't care about the sound quality. I you use your pc at watch dvd a 5.1 speaker is a must but that's just my opinion.

definately the logitech Z series speakers.

Best bang for your buck.

Personally I have the Klipsch 5.1's and they rock, but if you don't want to pay out the nose, the Logitech are great!

Anything without the word Inspire in them. I love my Klipsch Promedia 4.1's. I know they are a little more than you wanna pay (you can find the 2.1's on eBay for around $100) but that's what I thought when I got mine. They have lasted me a long time, and I don't think I will be in the market for speakers for quite a while, so for me, they are worth the extra money. They just sound that good.
