Help Choosing Router

Okay, here's the situation, I live in a dorm room and we are only allowed one internet connection, however, i need to hook up my laptop and desktop at the same time. We have to register a MAC address and an IP with the school though.

Would it be possible for me to use a wireless router, and register the MAC address and IP with the school.

If so, could i please have some recommendations of routers that I would be able to this with?

Thanks.

A router solves your one internet connection per room problem. Since I prefer wired systems someone else will have to help you there....make sure you study the security issues involved and set it up as securely as possible.

any 4 port wireless router will do.. most of it will clone mac address if you have already registered one ..

linksys wrt54gs are popular, aftermarket flashes available.. also in super g..
smc are decent.. (what I use)
netgears are okay
dlink are okay
