Help choosing RAM memory kit

Hello everyone, I need some help choosing between 2 RAM memory kits for a workstation desktop PC. It will be used for modeling, rendering and graphic design (SolidWorks, 3ds Max, Rhinoceros, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and not for gaming. Options are:

G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600MHz PC3-12800 16GB (8GBx2) CL 9 1.5V

Kingston HyperX Genesis DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz 16GB (8GBx2) CL 9 1.5V

These are the only options I have, both have the almost same specifications and also the same price where I live, so decision might be mainly focused on brand reliability. Which one would you choose?

G.Skill has always done me right... Just make sure the tall heatsink on the Ripjaws will clear everything on your board.

Depends on where you live, and what support is like. Between similar RAM, cost and expected RMA experience are about the only factors that make any difference. I mean, you hope to never need to do an RMA, but **** happens, and it'll be the one time you don't think about it that you'll end up with RAM that shows faults after several months, and then it'll take 2 months to get it replaced 🙂.

IME, in the U.S., both are good brands.
