Hello,

I wanted to ask, what is the best earbuds for listening music. I've red some reviews of Razer Hammerhead but their mid and high's are somewhat taken over by bass. So, is there any better earbuds, who are balanced? Price range 50-100$, but can go bit higher if they're better.

Honestly, if you have (or can get) a pair of apple earpods, there is really not much out there that is better in your price range. If you spend over $100, then there are improvements to be had. But still don't expect a night and day difference.

I would check out what Sony has to offer for earbuds. They consistently sound well above the price you pay for them.

JayBird BlueBuds are $25 outside of your price range, but they are so worth it.

For my work pair, I've a set of Phillips waterproof clip on earbuds that ran ~$25. The build quality actually looks reasonable, though as with any earbud set, a hard case is recommended for pocket storage (I use an Altoids tin). Sound quality is ok-ish. Bass is reasonably stout, and overall decent for the price class. My new Momentums I use at home however have kinda ruined me for my earbuds, though given the vast price difference, that's to be expected.

Not even close to true.

Anyway, here's a detailed list of suggestions by sound signature from a guy who's listened to more earphones (not ear*bud*s, there are very few of those that are good) than the rest of us will in our entire lives:

Yea actually it is. A lot of people would agree with me:

For $35 you'll be hard pressed to find better earphones than the earpods. And considering they are accessible for FREE to most people (someone in your family or friends almost certainly has an iDevice that came with Earpods and doesn't use them), then the value proposition isn't even arguable anymore. They compete very well with earphones up to $100, sometimes even higher. It's not until the $200+ range that they start to clearly fall behind. They are also quite comfortable for most people, unlike some other IEMs.

Worst advice ever.

I have an old Sennheiser set from years ago. Cx-300 or so. They are great. Give them a google.

I have a SoundMagic PL50 that I got for $40 a few years ago. Was pretty highly rated over at Head-Fi when I was researching.

Currently I switch between a Westone W30 and a UE TF10.

So have you actually listened to the Earpods, or are you just talking out of your ass?

As I said before, the Earpods are just as good as any other $35 pair of after market earphones, plus they have in line mic and controls, and *drum roll* they can very likely be had for free. i.e. I have 5 or 6 pairs between mine and my parent's house, and don't use any of them.

OP said between $50-100, there are improvements on the higher end of that scale, such as some hifi man and RHA IEMs, but a most of them are piss poor built, without replaceable cables, and it's not until you get over $150 that the improvements in both sound and build quality are worth paying for.

That's the thing about trying to suggest headphones for people, it is very subjective. Everyone hears things a little differently. I believe the the Apple earpods probably are the best solution at this price range for Jag87. For me, there are at least half a dozen choices in the $50-$100 range that sound worlds better. Best thing to do is try a few and see what your ears like.

I have around six pairs as I manage the phones for work. They are utter crap, even for free.

So, basically I came to conclusion that Yamaha EPH-100 is best one's for me. Because when I asked at http://theheadphonelist.com the guy named |joker| - who is pretty much expert in earbuds, recommended these ones because he asked for what specific music I listen. Some of your recommendation's were really doubtful like Apple earpods (I have Android phone and I doubt they'll work with Android...). But some were really good one's when I asked |joker| about them but in my price range Yamaha EPH-100 are the best one's. Only thing, what sucks about them is that it doesn't have any special features like removable cable, etc.

Thank you all, anyway for your recommendation's.

Peace.
