Help Choosing CPU Cooler

My case is the Corsair Carbide Series 500R and the CPU i'm getting is the i7 3770k which I plan to overclock to 4.5GHz.The RAM is Corsair Vengeance 4x4 16GB Low-Profile, and the motherboard is an ASUS Sabertooth 1155 Z77 . Currently I am thinking about the Noctua NH-D14, but the beige and reddish-brown color is deterring me from getting it as my build has a black and blue theme. This is my first PC build and I am not very comfortable with a closed circuit water cooling setup and a custom water cooling setup is out out of the question, so a quiet black colored air cooling solution that can cool my CPU at 4.5GHz to 60-70 degrees Celsius that is $90 or less is preferred. Thank you for your help 😀

You could try the Phanteks PH-TC14PE, comes in multiple shades of color. Might have height clearance issues if you've installed fans on the side panel. Either that or you could just get the ever so popular Noctua NH-D14 and replace it with fans that match your theme.

Yes. Just get the phantek blue version and be happy. 😛

I know you said you were not comfortable with a closed-loop water cooler, but they are really just as simple to use as any standard air cooler, but without all the extra weight hanging off your board. The H100 would bolt right into the top of your 500R and the solid black would match your theme.

If you want a black air cooler, check out the Xigmatech Dark Knight.

Thanks, I might get the Phanteks PH-TC14PE. Do you have any recommendations for blue or black fans that cool as well as the stock ones on the Noctua NH D14?

Aerocool Shark, comes in a variety of colors as well. The middle fan for the Noctua might be a little bit tricky but it is in fact a 140mm diameter fan with 120mm hole spacing. Replacing both fans with 120mm Aerocool Shark should work.

This is what you get when you try to use a mobile device to post. Mods, delete it if you like. 😉

I would get the Phanteks PH-TC14PE, but I'm not sure it's going to fit into my Corsair Carbide 500R as it is only 8.1" wide, and a reviewer said it didn't fit into the Antec 900 which is also 8.1" wide :/

For blue and black theme: Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme $65
