Help Choosing a Watercooling setup.

I have always considered myself an enthusiast however I have never taken the dive into Watercooling my CPU/GPUs. Everytime I read something about a watercooling package it is not SLI. Could someone help me decide on a (modest $) setup that would cool both my CPU and both GPUs?

My case is a Lian-Li PC-V1000. It is not the largest case but I think it would work. I have (2) 5 1/4" bays available so I was tentatively leaning towards one of the selfcontained units but once again confused about the best choice.

Thanks!

It all depends on how much money you are willing to spend. You can get a nice setup to cool the cpu and gpu for $250. Or you can get a kickarse setup for $350-$400 that will cooll your chipset as well.

Wrong forum?
Anyway, take a Look here.

Now if you want me to suggest individual parts then here:
GPU Block
Pump
Rads <-Choose either the BIX2 or BIP3 since you have so much stuff on the loop
1/2in. Tubing

Those are just SOME of the core components. I'm also looking to get a WC setup and thats some of the stuff I choose based on recommendations.

My big concern is I never see any reviews (I even searched here for Watercooling SLI) on a complete watercooling package on an SLI setup.

I was thinking $250-300 range and wasn't planning on cooling the chipset further than what is there now.

(Oops we must have posted at the same time. Thanks for the links.)

Here's jsut a quick recommendation:

Swiftech Storm CPU block if you can find it, otherwise AquaXtreme MP-05
Maze4 GPU blocks
Black Ice Pro II or III rad with two or three Panaflo's respectively
50Z Pump
1/2in tubing
res of some sort

I prefer the Siftech MCP655 pump and the Silverprop Cyclone FusionHL GPU Waterblock, that GPU block is better than the Maze4.
But thats just me. Get what YOU want based on reviews, etc.

Here are the parts I used to cool my Opteron and SLI'd 7800GTs:

MCW6002-64 cpu block
MCP600 pump (same as Aquaextreme 50z)
2 Maze4 low-profile gpu blocks
2 OCZ BGA ramsink kits (4 sinks will need to be ground down a bit to fit under the blocks)
Heatercore from a '77 Bonneville w/ AC (also called the 2-302 heatercore) A BIX II with two powerful fans would probably work just as well
Custom reservoir made from black PVC (easy to make depending on how much you like to work with your hands) You can buy a pre-made reservoir if you don't care to make your own.
1/2" tubing

With the above parts I got the following temps:
Opteron 146@3.0GHz 1.49V idle- 23C load- 39C
7800GTs@550/1300 1.66V on the core idle- 33C load- 39C

I spent about $225-250 on the whole setup.

The MCW6002-64 is an awesome cpu block, but I couldn't find it in stock ANYWHERE!!

Wow thanks for all the swift responses.... looks like i have some research to do. I remember reading about car heater cores but didn't know people were still using them instead of the PC fabbed ones.

Here ya go
In stock.

Edit: I'm also lookin for a CPU Block and since I can't get the Storm, should I get the MCW6002-64? Or which other one? (price is no option)

Also, should I go for BIX2 or BIP3?

I'd recommend you check out xtremesystems.org/forums

Their watercooling sections is fantastic!

Nice parts, but I wouldn't recommend the TDX. The MC6002-64 is better, and costs less I think.

Thanks! By the way I dremmeled out that wall that makes your PSU so tight. I have a Thermaltake 680W that is another inch longer than what you got there and mine is still about as tight as yours hehe.
