I'm not planning on overclocking, I'm much more concerned with stability, but there are a few features I would like:

-Full 16x PCIe paths in SLI
-Decent Memory compatibiity
-Core 2 Quad support
-Onboard firsewire would be nice, but a lot of USB 2.0 ports are more important
-built in HD Audio would be nice, as would wifi, but not essential

Suggestions in the $100-200 price range?

My motherboard, Asus P5W-DH deluxe has all of those features you wanted, but i think it is ment for crossfire. But, many people have just downloaded drivers and have gotten SLI to work with it.

I may be wrong but I believe that the only motherboards with full X16 PCI-E slots are the 680i boards and the cheapest one I believe is the eVGA going at about $229 or possibly the ECS 680i but I haven't seen a price on that one yet.

Well, when I do that upgrade, I'll be going quad core, and i've got a 24" monitor. It's not actually for games either... 3D CAD and animation, woot!
