Help choosing a ~250GB SSD for Windows 8

Hi guys, I want to buy a SSD before or when Windows 8.1 will be available. I'm currently using Windows 7 64 bit and the C drive used space is 150GB. I want to be able to put a few games on it so I figured I need a 240-256 GB SSD. I'm not living in the US and the prices are high. I read that TLC flash memory is theoretically three times less long-lasting than MLC, so i think I want a MLC SSD (or if you have some info that TLC is good enough please share). Here are few SSD's which are in my price range, tell me which is best:

How much does each of those cost where you're buying from? I would guess Samsung 840 is the cheapest. It's a good drive.

The impression I get from the Anandtech reviews is that the Samsung 840/EVO/Pro are the recommended drives right now.

I probably wouldn't notice the speed differences on a day-to-day basis, so would buy based on price.

I would probably just go for the 840 unless you feel paranoid about power surges/outages/failures.

In that case, the m500 has power-loss protection which may give you some peace-of-mind. You'll have to decide if said peace-of-mind is worth 80 USD

Another recommendation for the 840. It's TLC, but given normal desktop usage patterns, you're not going to get anywhere near running out of write/erase cycles for 7 years.

I have like 5 840's... 3 of which are EVO editions.
And i do like Samsung.. however ONLY because they were cheap.

If i had my choice... ignoring price, id go for a corsair neutron tho, as i hear those are very tankish in durability..
This is ignoring the SLC drives like my X25-E.

The prices he posted were converted from some local currency, which means the Sandisk SSD probably isn't cheaper. In the OP, the Samsung 840 is 224 USD when on newegg it costs $170.

The Evo requires to you run that damned "Magician" software constantly. Read up on computer sleep problems and that program before you go that route. With the other Samsung drives, you can run that program when needed.

Win8 bashing posts really aren't appropriate here, are they?
