HELP: CD-RW will read and write blank CD-Rs but wont read normal CDs !!

HI guys

I have a Buslink 52x CD-RW drive (rebadged Lite-on Drive). It has no problems reading blank CD-Rs or writing to them. But it just wont read any of the normal CDs.

It will take them, and when i try to open the CD-RW drive in "my computer", it just opens a blank window as if the CD is blank. The CD's work perfectly in the DVD drive in the same computer.

any solutions or the drive is dead ?
 
Is your soundcard hooked correctly to the CD drive? I know it sounds stupid, but check it out... I had a friend with the same problem, and after of hours of troubleshooting - thats what it turned out to be.
