The other systems at first couldn't see the Win2k Machine. I fiexed that and now when the other machines try to open up a folder on the win2k machine it ask for a pasword. i didn't assing any passwords and I can't find any setting to assing one or turn it off all together. I have TCP/IP and folder/printsharing installed on all 3. What do i do???

Also, you might want to create new shares - the default shares (end with a $) aren't accessible through NNhood.

Enabling Guest account on win2k is one way of solving this problem... however it is not secure and introduces some other security risks...

What you wanna do is setup an account on the win2k machine for the other 2 PCs to login... Setup an account for each of them 2 PCs, with the exact same username and password as the one you use to logon to the other 2 PCs...

If you forgot what you username and password for your 2 other PCs are, just do a search for *.pwl files in those PCs... one of them should contain your login information... delete that file, and next time windows start up it will prompt you for a new username and password...

Remember the username and password of the accounts on the win2k machine has to be EXACTLY the same as the one you type in...
