Please, anyone have any experience removing an accelero x2? The thermal pads seem to be freaking super glue...

Thanks in advance!

Let the card get hot, then try and remove the cooler before the RAM cools.

put it in the microwave for 2 minutes and about half way through turn it. Then take a butterknife and lube it with butter.

Works for me everytime

lol yeah. that's kinda like how some lady suggested to either use battery acid or muriatic acid for my bros acne scarred face... :( some people are just evil (btw, my bro was gonna try it! Thank god he never got around to it)

Yeah the best thing to do is to take the card out right after you shut down your comp. I remember that removing the NV silencer from my 7800/7900 card was always a pain.

Damn it will NOT come off. I've had trouble with this kinda thing before -- but it had to do more with my noobness. Now that I'm a pro ;) this is definitely negligent on the part of AC. They need to warn -- or better yet recall these things (if we actually manage to take it off)

Well, I instead decided to make a hole for a 120mm fan right above my x1900. Great idea. Mobo temp went down 10c and my vid card load temp went from 80C to 65C! Nice!
