EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED
Hey guys, I just got an Asus hd 7950 dc2, I have a cooler master HAF case, and an EVGA P67 FTW board.
When I try to install the GPU, it feels like it fully slides in the pci-e slot, I hear it click and everything, visually looks good too, but I can't screw the card into the case, I can't use the plastic clips attached to the case either.
Problem is that the metal part of the GPU with the 2 or 3 holes where you put the screws in to connect the card to the case, is not flush with the case, there is like a quarter inch gap between it and the case. I tried to push the card in more, but it won't go anymore, tried 2 other slots, same thing.
On this case/mb combo, I've had a 3870x2, xfx 6850, his 6950 IceQ x turbo, diamond 6950, and a 6990, all installed no problem, in fact no GPU that I've installed in any case/mb has ever done this.......
Anyone have any ideas?
