as title says. i have a cooler master hsf NOT approved by amd. i need to remove to connect L1 bridges and oc my duron. i need some tips or whatever on how to take the thing off. i'm worried about cracking the cpu's die
hmm...the thermal pad melts pretty good and usually is very sticky. i had to pry pretty hard to get it off my gf's cpu awhile back. good luck. if anything goes wrong, those xp1600s are a great replacement.
i gotta dp5-7h53f hsf and here's a link to Cooler masters site. it's on a GA-7DX+. i'm having trouble because it's like 1-2mm away from capacitors and 2inches from my psu. i dun have any room to work with. i don't feel like uninstalling my mobo. thanks for the help.
Take out the power supply Putting a HSF on my Abit board was a pain too, cause the socket was much higher towards the PSU than the board I have now. Its much easier to just take out the PSU if you can.
