Thanks! Unfortunately my problem is a little more severe than I conveyed. I have the AMD64 + SP2 reboot issue I think. What's odd is that I still get reboots after adding /NoExecute AlwaysOff in the boot.ini file. So I got desperate and started disabling all of my non-plug and play devices thinking of the mpegport.sys fix. Now I get a BSOD stop message right after safe mode is about to bring up the desktop. I've tried all safe-mode modes, but they all blue screen. Any ideas?

I had a somewhat similar issue with SP2. I didn't get a BSOD however. What I had to do was to drop to recovery mode using the XP disk, then manually unistall SP2. When I finally got back into Windows I had to use a restore point, because it still wasn't functioning correctly.
