I am using the onboard video of Biostar M7NCG 400 board, which has Nforce2 400 chipset. But seems I can't set the video at 1600x1200 at 32 bit color. ONly 16 bit at this resoltiion. It's truely a pain in the a*s not being able to use my 2001FP at its highest setting. Is this due to Nforce2 IGP or the mother board or drivers? Thanks.

Edit: BTW, has updated to the newest chipset driver from Nvidia's website.

Thanks for help:) No, I thought the driver are all included in the "Unified Drivers" package. Do I need to install it as well to get the full potential of the IGP?

I know Im going be laughed at for that, LOL. Problem is that I am using a slim PC case which only takes low profile card. The best LP card I can find now is 9600SE. I want to wait a little bit and see if some better cards come out. Keen insight though :)

Installed the monitor drivers? Since the Nvidia IGP specs state resolution support up to 1920x1440 75Hz (2048x1536 60Hz) The nforce drivers include a graphics driver.
One at Nvidia site includes 52.16 ver.

Yes, I have installed monitor's driver. Actually I have tried to installed driver for bigger monitors too but seems the IGP is holding the desktop resolution back. Maxium I can get is 1600x1024x32bit. ONce it's set at 1600x1200, it's back to 16bit.

If you go to the display properties advanced. Isn't there a change resolutions tab listed with other options for the graphics? Got for the 5900 where you can set custom resolutions.

Just tried this. 1600x1200x32bit isn't an option at all. When I set custom resolutions, only 8bit and 16bit are selectable:(

Ok, finally it worked! Viper you are right. I reinstalled the drivers on MB's driver CD, 1600x1200x32bit there it is. Almost break down in tears:) But still wondering why the driver from Nvidia doesn't allow this option. Thanks everybody.
