Help. Cant find newly installed AP on network.

to help with the wifi coverage in my house.

Connected it to my Uverse Router via Cat5 that runs from basement to 2nd story. The Cat5 is known to be fine and working as it was connected to a PC in my bedroom for years.

Anyways, plugged it in. All the lights display power, link etc. But I can not connect to the devide to save my life. I tried to connect via browser (192.18.10.100) and even their dummy proof software on this PC. Nothing sees the box.

My home network is 192.168.1.X... but that shouldn't matter should it?

The quick installation guide says it should pick up a DHCP address from your main router, if you can't figure out what the IP is, then direct connect and try 192.168.10.100, if still not work, try the IP on the .1.x network that you think it is. Subnet Mask will be 255.255.255.0, and no default gateway required.

Connecting directly will require you to set the IP of your computer manually to either 192.168.10.x or 1.x depending on which IP you think it has. X can be from .1-.254, but not the same as the suspected IP of the WAP
