Hi people,
I need help on this, I don't know if this is the right forum or not but forgive me if I'm wrong.
anyway, I just change my video card, used to be Matrox Millenium II and Voodoo 2
After uninstall both cards drivers, I restart, install new driver and windows give a warning that says can't found 3dfx.dll (not the exact name, but I'll put it up next time I boot).
How do I fix this, obviously windows try to load something.
how to clean the windows environment from 3drfx stuff ?
any help would be very appreciated.
post it here or PM me.

Thanks folks.

Well, have you tried to find this dll in your windows registry???
some times when i experience problems like that i run regedit, do a search for exact registry key who contains this file, for example 3dfx.dll and remove all keys whits are asociated whis this file name some times it helps, of course befour you do this backup your registry:confused::disgust:

Yeah, major problems always occur when you reaplace a 3dfx card. Do a search for 3dfx and voodoo and then delet all the dll and vxd files you come across. Next celar anything with the same name from your registry. Then resintall your current video drivers and THEN (phew) if you play anything using the Unreal engine you'll need to resinatll those because they'll continue trying to find teh 3dx drivers and will lock unexpectedly even when trying to use direct3D.

I've gone through this twice and it always fixes my problems.
