Im trying to decide whether i should go with uxga or svga+ with a compaq presario 2700 (gotta love the 91% approval rating at cnet.com). so far im leaning toward the svga+. Does anyone here actually run their laptop res at 1600x1400? that seems way too small for a 15". i can imagine 1400x 1280 being ideal for my me. what do you guys think?

My coworkers have dell laptops with the UVGA screens. It looks awesome at 1600x1200. I don't know how good your eyes are but I think it's worth it. No only if they made LCD desktop flatscreens with this UVGA technology.

My Dell laptop has a 15" screen with a max resolution of 1400x1050. Everything is perfectly clear but I don't think I would like 1600x1200. I think that it would be too small. Maybe if they had a 17" screen 1600x1200 would be OK.

Also, are your resolutions correct? Because they are not standard 4:3 resoltions.
