HELP! Can't boot from floppy on Abit KT7 motherboard!

I have seen the similar problem on my friend's Abit KT7 board. In his situation there was absolutely nothing wrong with neither floppy drive nor cable. The problem was the board itself. Exchanging motherboard for a different one fixed the issue flawlessly.

You might try cutting the key pin off of the cable. Thats what I had to do, but my floppy didnt owrk at all till I cut the key of the cable and flipped it. But working in one OS and not the other? Whoa...thats freaky....

Tried 5 more floppys that I got from work with pin 1 towards the power connector and still not luck.

Please help if you still can.
