I have a AMD 1.2@1.4 10x140(had to lower fsb from 146 to 140 as I got errors when transferring over my network)...the card has Netgear Phoneline Adapter PCI card work fine yesterday and now the card appears to be dead..this is the second one that went out on this AMD system...I thought it was due to power surge from lighting...but I unplugged the ps to wall out there was no way except via the phoneline or a surge through the ps on my fax(which is hooked to the the phoneline card)...the second phoneline card is in my BX(overclocked at 135 fsb from 100fsb) computer and has been plugged in even with thunderstorms with no problems....

IS the AMD system a problem....

Why don't you plug the card into your BX system and see if it is fried or not?

As it turns out the network is fine that is I can share files and internet connection..but I can not use my phone off the card....I get no dial tone ..just the message if you want to make a call hang up and try again....if I plug directly from wall to phone fine..but if I plug wall to Netgear card then a line to phone..phone is dead....

Called customer service they had no suggestions except to return the card to Compusa and try again...
