I'm interested in buying a mobo and a Athlon 64 939 cpu along with some good ram to buy along with it. Any suggestions? I'm trying to get the price range around $600 - $700.

You mean AGP? If so, then the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum is supposed to be a great board. So is the ASUS. In Nforce3 OC'ing, MSI>ASUS.
 
Its agp and pcie, not vga and pcix 😉. You'll need an nvidia nforce3 board or a Via K8T800. From what i've heard, the Asus a8v is suppossed to be a good board.
 
I have the MSI Neo2 Platinum, with Corsair Value select. It is rock solid, running for over a month, no hangs/BSODS etc.
