I'll admit this is the first time I want to buy a monitor and care about what it looks like. The last computer I bought was a pre-built eMachines at my local Best Buy. No complaints so far other than the machine is nearly 3 years old and the technology was low-range even back then.
I've been eyeing Dell's Widescreen UltraSharp monitors for a while. However, I think everyone agrees that $600+ for a monitor is somewhat excessive. Still, I like the High-def promise and the functionality I've heard about them (angle viewing, response time, clarity, etc) so I'm thinking about buying one of the refurbished ones, which costs around $269 (for a 20-inch). However, I'll take suggestions for one of similar (or superior) performance for the price. I don't want to ommit that I want something that will support HD-DVD/Blu-ray, as I would hate to shed this much cash just to buy another one 6 months later...
Any suggestions?
