I Have a Liteon 24102b with Nero Software 6.0.0.15 patched with nero overburn patches and it wont allow me to burn 99min cdrs. I also has the latest firmware for the liteone. Has anybody tried to burn a 99min cdr before? I heard liteon 24102b CAN burn over 700MB cds. AnyHelp? TIA!

Make sure that you do not have it set to MODE 1 (it has an 80 min limit).
If you are trying to burn an 99min audio cd MODE 2/XA is not an option.

Also be sure to set the Write Method to DISK-AT-ONCE.

i downloaded some movies that are alittle over 700mb that cant be overburnt on a 700mb CD-R so i bought some 790mb/90min CD-Rs and some 870mb/99 min CD-Rs.

I used 90min CD-R's with my Lite-ON 24x with good success. I just needed to enable Overburning in the advanced options and then choose disc at ones instead of track at once....it popper up a message saying that it required 767MB or something and the disk was only 80MB (???....not 800....80...weird) I said yes to overburning and all was well.

Does it matter if its audio or data files? also where do u see "mode 1" options?

Yes, it matters if its audio or data files. Data files might corrupt burning in MODE 2/XA.
Some CDrom drives (especially olders drives) have a hard time reading data written in Mode 2/XA format.

The MODE 1 Option(s) can be found under the ISO tab.
