So i'm building my first PC myself today, and i just read the manual of my MOBO:

One bit says:

''Before handling components, use a safely grounded wrist trap or touch a grounded object or a metal object.''
Does that mean that i have to touch the case for all the time i spend building?

Also, do you have any tips or things i should try?

Build:

Asus m4a88t-m
amd phenom II x4 965 (Coolermaster hyper TX3)
Asus ENGTS450
Thermaltake V3
CM Extreme power+ 460W
XMS3 4gigs of 1600 9-9-9-24 RAM
500 GIGs of WD ROM
CD reader/writer

I know this is 24 hours later, but just thought I'd suggest a few things...

Make sure you seat the cooler/heatsink properly. Seems like this is where most problems with new builds stem from. As for making sure you're grounded, just simply touch a metal part of your case any time you grab a component. You don't have to keep touching it or anything. And for nice, efficient airflow it's always a good idea to combine wires with zip ties or velcro stripping and orient them away from the middle of the case.

Hope everything went well on your virgin build...any updates?
