So i'm building a computer that will becomemy main desktop for home use and will also need to connec to my home thatre system for th epurpose of watching .mkv files along with other movies.
1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Ragular everyday use, HTPC and some light gaming.
2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
1000-1200
3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
canada. www.ncix.com www.directcanada.com www.newegg.ca
4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.
No fan boy here. Just leaning towards the phenom 2 940. But not set in stone
5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
No
6. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Overclocking
7. WHEN do you plan to build it?
NOW
Thanks in adance for the help guys. Much appreciated
