Help building a system

I am thinking about building a system in a while and I am pretty new to everything (not to computers, just to making one piece by piece) any help (like a list of what I would need, or a guide to help go through the process) would be appreciated greatly.

Private messages or emails are the best because Im not able to check this board as often as the others.
