I just built a computer and it was working great. I have built about 16 computers in the last 6 months with no problems. I installed windows xp and everything was fine. I then installed a soundblaster live value and a geforce 2 gts-v with it the newest xp drivers. I rebooted the machine and everything was still fine but on the way I breifly saw a blue screen with writing on it. When I rebooted I got the BSOD it said to check my drive configurations and that windows did not shut down properly. I rebooted and got the same thing. I then rebooted in safe mode and got the same thing. I downloaded the IMB drive fitness utility and it said the hard drive was working fine. I then booted with a boot floppy and I CAN access the hard drive. As a matter of fact the windows screen with the scrolling thing comes up for a second before the BSOD. I know IBM drives have lots of issues. I would not have used this one but I already had a new one so I am stuck with it. Although after the drive fitness test I am not sure it is the hard drive. Here is the error message that I get:
Stop: 0x00000024 (0x001901FD, 0x81792330, 0xcC0000023, 0x0000000) I do not know what this means do you?

Here is my system configuraton:
Duron 600 at 900
Visiontek Geforce 2 GTS-V
Abit kt7 motherboard
256mb of mushkin ram
IBM Deskstar 40gig (brand new)
Soundblaster live value

Note: All of these components with the exception of the hard drive and the video card worked great for the last year in my old computer
