help booking vacation

wondering what site to book a vacation for me and my gf. any place with a nice beach and scenery is fine but i think she would probably want to go to cancun. what sites do you use or do you go to a tavel agent?

I typically use orbitz, but if you have access to an AAA account, you can book online with them. They usually give great rates if you book far enough in advance. Some of the plane tickets I've seen are about 10-15% cheaper than Orbitz/Expedia/Travelocity.

I used expedia for my trips to Hawaii and Thailand. both times were for about 6 people. when i arrived in thailand the hotel people screwed something up so i called expedia and they took care of it.

i'm looking toward december or march. those are our vacation times. for cancun it looks like for a decent hotel and flight its gonna cost roughly $1000 per person. do you think thats fair? or should i keep looking?

for a week. i think its all inclusive

Depends on the class of the hotel. We are looking at 4 days in Cancun during Thanksgiving and it's going to run about $1000pp for a 4* all-inclusive.

Try out travelzoo.com for deals from small travel agents.
