Help! Best disk imaging program like old Ghost?

Can anyone recommend some disk imaging programs that is like Ghost 7.x that can detect SATA drives and can make an image or restore without needing to install it on Windows itself?

I tried the new Ghost 9 and its so bloated and needs to be installed, Acronis True Image can't detect my SATA HD with the recovery boot disk to make an image. Can someone recommend one?

I use Ghost 2003 (boot with the CD in 'DOS' mode) and IIRC haven't had any issues with SATA drives being detected. Now if I could only get Ghost to detect USB drives... 😉

My Acronis bootable CDs have no trouble dealing with SATA drives ever since version 7. Is you CDR the full or the abbreviated version? Acronis sees SATA drives as SCSI drives.
