My aunt bought a 2001 nissan xterra about 7 months ago and she has had problems with it ever since she got it. First it used to pull on one side at high speeds...........now it makes extremely wierd noises at speeds about 65 on the highway with a large load. THEY DEALER TOLD HER NOT TO DRIVE IT ABOUT 65!!!!!!!!!!!...........WTF????...........A NEW 2001 NISSAN XTERRA V6.......i mean give me a FUC**** BREAK......

SO anyway.....i know Florida has one of the worst LEMON LAWS.........but where do I start for her?????

It has been to the repair shop at least 10 times!!!

Talk to the media
Get a lawyer
Complaint to BBB
Go to Nissan management, bypass the dealer

Oh yeah, buy GM. 😀

<----- Flamesuit on.

I have a 2000 Xterra which has been a great truck. I just took it up to the mountains again last weekend. I've had absolutely no problems so far and have put about 35,000 miles on it already.

Looks like she just got a bad one. I would certainly bypass the dealer like it was said above, but stay away from GM cars.

If she bought it new, it should have a complete manufacturer's warranty, bumper-to-bumper, for at least the first 3 years/36,000 miles (if not more).
The dealer telling her not to drive above 65mph instead of fixing the actual problem is completely unacceptable. The problem is the dealer, not the Xterra. He is not honoring the manufacturer's warranty properly.
Your aunt needs to:
- contact Nissan and file a complaint about the dealer.
- contact the BBB.
- contact her state's attorney general.
- take her car to a different Nissan dealer for repairs, one who will honor the warranty properly.

You're joking, right? They told her not to drive it above 65? Get it in writing & then have a ball with them...
