HELP!!!!! ASUS TUSL2-C recognizing 512MB SDRAM as only 384 MB!!

I have an ASUS TUSL2-C working with a Celeron 1.0A @ 1.4 GHz (I highly recommend this combo btw). Anyways, I recently put in a second 256 MB SDRAM DIMM in the machine (so now I have 2 X 256 MB SDRAM) in there. Anyways, the BIOS at bootup says it's only 384 MB of SDRAM in there (as well as Windows), even though I have 512MB in there. I know all Intel i815 chipsets have a limit at 512MB of SDRAM, but I don't know why it only tells me I have 384 MB. I believe I also had this problem in the past on a CUSL2. I've tried several 256 MB DIMMS (2 at a time) and it always tops off at 384 MB.

If anyone can help me, that would be great!

Have you alternately tried using just one stick of 256 at a time to see if it posts at 256?

I believe there is a limitation that the board can only read single sided SDRAM at least on onme or more of the slots.
So perhaps if your 256MB module is double sided (very likely) the board will only read one side (128MB).

The 815 chipset(s) can have a total of 4 banks of memory installed. If a DIMM is double-sided then it takes up 2 banks. So, you should be able to see your full 512MB unless one of the DIMMs is defective. Personally, I have a Abit SE6 with 2 256MB DIMMs (double-sided) installed without a problem.
