HELP ASAP!!!LAG!!!!

I brought a radeon 8500 and I was running 3dmark 2001 and it keeps on lagging!!!!!! Can someone help me out. Here's my computer spec:

AMD 1GHZ
224 SDR RAM
Radeon 8500 64ddr
ECS K7vaza rev.3
IBM 40 gb HD
400 watt power supply

The last time one of my systems did that was after re-arranging my hard drives on my IDE controller. For some reaons one of them would only run at PIO mode for and not UDMA. When that happened performance was horridle and my system had that stop-n-go feel to it. It sounds like a long shot in your case, but take a look in device manager and make sure your HD are running in UDMA mode. I don't know why, but I swapped two of my drives on the IDE chain and it fixed the problem.

And your right, Hikki does rule! I LOVE her CD Distance!!!
