Ok, I put 2 terro traps down last night, a bunch of ants fed, I came home tonight and find stuff in the 2 traps. It looks like the ants are moving in and making a nest in these traps!

We've had ant issues for a long time and we leave no food around. They've taken up residence where ever the can but mostly inside of the siding around the back of the house. I used terro for a few years and while it does attract a ton of them it didn't seem to affect the colony. I've used all kinds of bait and killers and so far nothing has been very effective. The gel bait made by RAID (i think) did really well one year.

We had that problem with carpenter ants at one point. We had to pull all of the siding off and spray the colony with a KoC spray. Before we put new siding on, we also sprayed the whole thing down with a spray. I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing it was Bifrenthrin, one of the most common insecticides and in most consumer (and many pro-grade) products.
