I need some help with this motherboard and CPU that i got from Fry's last week. When the CPU frequency is 100MHz, the CPU runs only at 1.15 GHz. When i change the CPU Frequency and the DRAM Frequency to 133MHz, it runs at 1.533GHz, but it freezes. What should i do????????

What type of power supply do you have? What heatsink? What are your temps? Frys has a 1 year warranty on OEM chips so you could always take it back.

What ram are you using?

Try loading the cpu to 133fsb at failsafe options in the bios and see if that helps. Also, how far do you get before the computer freezes?
And, I remember hearing some earlier revisions of the K7S5A had trouble running at 133fsb so you might want to look at that as well.

The OCworkbench has an excellent FAQ for the K7S5A here

The first place to start is the PSU,as was mentioned, because the K7S5A is a bit flakey about the power it gets. Some have resolved the inability to run at 133FSB on the K7S5A by removing the heatsink from the chipset and applying ASIIorASIII to it and putting a blue orb or other HS/F combo in it's place. BTW, others have broken the 150FSB barrier on that board by doing so. Also try loading the optimized bios settings to see if it was just to much stress causing the instability.
