So I flashed the bios on my Ultra-D to 2-18, to solve my stability problems. But when I rebooted, after the splash screen went away, it just goes into memtest. I'm not using a bootable floppy; memtest appears to be included in the bios. No matter what device I choose (HDD, FDD, DVD), it goes straight into memtest. I thought maybe if i I let it do one pass, it would boot, but when it finishes one, it just starts over again. Is there some option that I can turn off? Do i need to flash the bios back? How can I flash bios if I can't even boot from a device? HELP!

Have you tried just letting it test for a few hours? It is possible that it needs to correct something and that it can only correct one thing at a time. Also try booting from the windows CD

The bios usually does a mem test by default. Some bioses let you turn it off. It should only run once. It does not fix anything. Either the memory is faulty, or the flash went bad. Try booting with 1 stick of ram.

edit: You did reset the cmos (with power disconnected) after the flash right?

Although this won't help troubleshoot, usually the memtest can be cancelled by hitting the esc key.
