We are trying to add internet access to a PC at the office trailer. We have an existing wireless network in the clubhouse a few hundred feet away. I tested for signal with my laptop the other day and could see the router at the office but when I tried to connect it dropped the signal, so i walked it with my laptop in hand and was able to connect to the network when I was about 75-100ft from the trailer.
My question is , what is the most cost effective way to get this signal to make it another 100 ft?
Do these high gain antennas from linksys actually work and would that be enough if they do?
Could I do this with a single access point ? maybe they have better ranges than router?
Or is it gonna take a repeater or signal amp somewhere in between ?
The existing router is a linksys i remember but do not remember the model.
Any and all suggestions appreciated
Chris
