Help! Add/Remove programs in Control Panel went dead

My add/remove programs button in my control panel in Windows XP went dead for some reason. Here's the Error I keep getting...

Parser Message
Value creation failed " at line 472

Anybody seen this before or know how to fix it? I'd rather not go through a repair with the XP cd.
