Help - about to buy computer online - Windows 32 bit or 64 bit?

I'm about to order a computer from ibuypower.com.

I'm getting windows 7. It is giving me the option for 32 bit or 64 bit. I suppose 64 bit, right? Gaming machine.

yes. and 8gb of ram since its at the peak low and will trend up. i got 8gb of ram ddr3 for my laptop for $39 lol. you probably can do better i just went to amazon for prime delivery.

if you are doing triple channel make sure you do 12gb (3x4gb) for max speed.

ram is trending up i think we are at rock bottom now.

Just make sure you get ram rated at jedec. (ie 1.5V ddr3 not 1.65volt junk).


p.s. the windows key is valid for both 32bit and 64bit so don't have to make that choice now! go 64bit if you have issues with legacy apps vmware (8gb-12gb of ram ftw!) or reinstall with 32bit. same key good for both.
