I need your help. Situation. I had 4 4TB drives on a 3Ware 9650 Raid card in Raid 5. I wanted to upgrade to 4 6TB drives so I backed up my data onto 3 drives and then removed the 4TB harddrives and forgot the order they were in.
Then I put in my 6TB drives in Raid0 with a different Stripe size. BUT one of the 3 drives with 1.7TB of Data will not be read (I can see the data but it refuses to copy to any comptuer and its been determined to be a bad drive). I want to put those 4 shuffled 4TB drives back into the card. How hard will this be? Can I just plug all 4 drives back in and will the Raid card recognize how it should go together and allow me to copy that data to a different drive or am I screwed? Any suggestions how to get that missing info back?
