Help! 8rda+ error code/no video

A few days ago I was trying to migrate from my current MSI KT3 Ultra 2 mobo to an 8rda+ and when I finally had all my hardware installed and turned the system on, there was no video signal to the monitor and the LED display said "1d" (or what looked like 1d) and emitted a continuous string of beeps (never-ending). I searched Epox's website about this error message but couldn't find any help whatsoever. I reseated my video card multiple times, same with the RAM and CPU. I even removed my GPU cooler and put on a different one, but it was still no go. I moved everything back to my MSI mobo and everything worked fine the first time I hit the power button.
Any ideas on this one?

gee, thanks... anyone? It would be nice to know if I was scammed and bought a dead board or if it's something else. Seeing as how all my hardware works perfectly with my old mobo and I tried literally everything I could think of to get the 8rda+ to work but it wouldn't, I'm leaning towards the scammed/bought dead board hypothesis.

man, what do I have to do to get a response on this one? I've searched the web and Epox's site for this error but still can't come up with a definition that would tell me what's wrong with my setup.

Have a look at the I/O panel and see if any of the springy finger things are getting in your LAN or USB ports. If you have any case USB wiring hooked up to the USB3 header on the motherboard, unplug that. It would help to know the exact list of parts (including brand/model of power supply) that you're using, to help us spot any known trouble spots.

Son of a.... now that I think of it, I never took off my old i/o panel from my KT3 Ultra when I installed the 8rda+!!! I do seem to remember the i/o ports not lining up and the board being difficult to mount... In fact, I'm pretty sure the little metal fingers from the i/o panel were almost definitely sticking into one or more of the i/o ports on the 8rda+. Could that be the problem? This almost makes me want to try the board again but I'd hate to reformat my HD AGAIN and still have the board not work. As far as my case & psu go, I just bought an ATX case w/generic AMD-approved 300W PSU. The PSU is branded "AGI" and it says " model no. ENP 0730". I'm sure this isn't the best PSU to be using but I'm on a very limited budget here and don't really plan on making any more upgrades to my system for at least a couple more months.

That PSU is an Enhance, they're not that bad actually. Well, all you would really need to do is lay out the board, throw the memory, CPU and video card in, and see if it proceeds through the POST... don't have to commit to a full-blown reinstallation of Windows before confirming it would POST. Good luck in any case 🙂

Well, I tried reinstalling the 8rda+ with the proper i/o panel, and it made no difference. I still get the same error. Unfortunately, due to space limitations, I had to put the mobo in my case to plug in the atx power connector, so I still can't rule out case interference as the cause of the problem... Oh well, I guess I'll just have to sell the mobo off and live with my MSI board for a few more months 🙁

You only have to take out 4 screw to remove the power suppy, then you can test it outside of the case.

I'm just getting so sick of messing around with it that I don't know if I'm even willing to do that... I've spent countless hours messing around with my computer over the past couple months just trying to get it to run right and I'm sick of it! I'm just going to let it be for awhile and maybe someday I'll get the urge to try it out one last time before I just get rid of it.
